During Almedalen Week’s first, windy day, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson (S) visited Gotland’s regiment P18 and then held a press conference. There she was asked about the Turkish list of demands for extradition to Turkey.

Andersson still has no knowledge that any new list has entered Sweden.

– There have been different figures that have appeared, but in Sweden we have authorities that work with these issues so it is a work that will continue during this period, Andersson says.

If extradition were to take place, on the other hand, it would take place in accordance with Swedish and international law, Andersson emphasizes.

– You are expelled for actions or if you think that someone may be a security threat, but it can also be the case that people have been expelled for other reasons.

– If you do not engage in terrorism, you do not have to worry, says Andersson and emphasizes that Swedish citizens will never be deported.
