Marianne Kortesoja has a background as an elite skier and the next step for her was to share the joy of skiing and develop the practitioners as coaches.
– As a leader, you sacrifice your time, of course, but at the same time you get that joy again and find that way back to sports, says Marianne Kortesoja.
Packed schedule
The association has several activities a week that range from everything from skiing and carpet curling to block and film screenings along with competitions and travel, something that at the same time needs to be balanced with work and private life for the coaches.
– Luckily, I have a manager who allows me to have quite my own working hours, that is a big advantage. Then it also applies that the family is involved, then it works, says Åke Nilsson.
