Epson saves up to 83 percent on energy with printer

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Global technology leader Epson helps corporations reduce their increasing energy bills with its environmentally friendly and economical printers. is happening.

Epson is shaping the future with its technologies that will help its customers reach a sustainable future through investments made with a sustainable future philosophy. With its office-type inkjet printers, it not only provides a serious cost advantage for companies, but also enables them to take a big step towards their sustainability goals. Epson Turkey Corporate Sales Manager Ahmet Alpagosays that inkjet printers with ‘Heatless Technology’ protect the environment while reducing costs for users. Epson’s inkjet printers with Heat-Free Technology are increasingly preferred by home users as well as offices and SMEs. For several years, Epson has supported the transition from laser printing to business inkjet printers to support improved business ecology and economies.

It reduces energy consumption by 83%

In terms of cost per page, commercial inkjet printers offer up to 50 percent lower cost per page than similarly priced laser printers on the market. In other words, Epson inkjet printers work with genuine Epson ink bottles, which can cut the cost of consumables in half. Ahmet Alpago states that this savings will reach great proportions for an organization that prints thousands of pages a week. Since Epson’s heatless technology requires less energy, it also offers a solution to the recently increasing energy bills. Epson printers with this technology provide energy savings of 83 percent.

Save up to 800 thousand trees!

When it comes to sustainability, corporate inkjet printers use less power and produce less carbon dioxide than comparable laser printers, as inkjet printhead technology requires less heat than laser technology. Plus, the ink nozzles don’t emit toner dust, which means cleaner air and the environment.

Epson has reduced power consumption by approximately 50.9 million kWh in 2020 with business inkjet printers. Thus, it prevented the emission of 17.7 thousand tons of carbon dioxide, as much as 816,000 trees would clean annually. Epson provides energy savings of 5.9 million euros per year in the EMEA region with heatless technology.

What is the difference of Heatless Technology?

Thermal inkjet technology applies electric current to heat the ink to eject from the print head. Unlike thermal inkjet and laser printers, Epson Heatless Technology does not require heating for inkjet. Instead, pressure is applied to the Piezo element, which bends back and forth to remove ink from the print head.

Thanks to Epson’s Heat-Free Technology, the printer does not need heat to prepare for use when turned on or woken up. This means that this technology starts printing immediately, unlike laser printers that need to preheat the fuser unit for printing. Constant high-speed printing is guaranteed, even on documents with high print density.

Few parts mean less trouble.

Epson inkjet printers make a significant difference to laser printers in terms of lower failure rate, low cost per page and sustainability advantages. In terms of fewer moving parts, ink-based printer technology includes only a few key components; ink, print head and compressed air dryer. These purely mechanical parts mean fewer breakdowns, lower service costs and lower maintenance costs.

Why tank printer?

With technological developments, inkjet (inkjet) printers have become more advantageous than laser printers. EcoTank printers developed by Epson offer a reliable printing solution with Micro Piezo print head. Only Epson’s Micro Piezo technology allows ink droplets to be ejected from each nozzle 40,000 times per second so that documents can be printed at high speeds. This gives incredibly precise results, so you can get clear prints without sacrificing quality.

Epson will not use underground resources by 2050

Although Epson’s operations have expanded globally, its culture of respect for the environment remains unchanged. Epson established Environmental Vision 2050 in 2008. Accordingly, Epson plans to spend and invest 100 billion yen in decarbonisation, resource recycling and environmental technology development over the next 10 years.

These efforts are expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the company’s supply chain by more than 2 million tons. In addition, Epson has decided to meet the electricity needs of all of its group facilities worldwide from 100 percent renewable energy sources (renewable electricity) by 2023. In 2050, it will be completely carbon negative and will not use any underground resources.
