GAROROCK. This Thursday, June 30, the Garorock festival returns to Marmande, for three days of celebration and music. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.
[Mis à jour le 30 juin 2022 à 13h59] It’s Garorock’s big comeback! This Thursday, June 30, 2022, the festival resumed its quarters in Marmande, in the Lot-et-Garonne. An edition with an “eclectic” and “daring” program: this is the promise of the organizers of the Garorock festival, which is making its big comeback in Marmande! The event is held over four days, until Sunday July 3, 2022. And for this first edition after two blank years, in addition to the 25th anniversary of the festival, the organizers are counting on an explosive program.
Are scheduled at Garorock: Ninho, Orelsan, Blaiz Fayah, Caballero & JeanJass, Deluxe, Ibeyi, The Empress, Izïa, Josman, Kampire, Marc Rebillet, Mezerg, Oboy or Parcels, but also PNL, Green Day, Sean Paul, Rilès, Martin Garrix, DJ Snake or Stromae, but also Vladimir Cauchemar, Odezenne, Mr Oizo, Laylow, Georgio, Dity Fonzy, the AA, Nicki Nicole or even Sampa the Great (all the programming, day by day, is to be discovered below).
For the time being, only part of the Garorock 2022 line-up has been revealed by the festival organizers, who added 14 names to an already promising line-up on December 8. Here are the artists who will perform in Marmande, day by day:
- Thursday, June 30 : -M-, PNL, Blackout Sound System, Blaiz Fayah, Deluxe, DJ Neis, Georgio, Jamie XX, Lala &ce, Mix Killaz, Naâman, Oboy, Poupie, Rilès, Sean Paul, Synapson and VJ Did.
- Friday 01 July : Green Day, Ninho, Vitalic, Angela, Betty, Charly&Scotch, Dirty Fonzy, Dropkick Murphys, Folamour, Izïa, Josman, Joysad, Kris Munegu, Larry Houl, Laylow, Marina Trench, Mezerg, Odezenne, Panda Dub, Roméo Elvis, Scotch -Man, SO Unity, VJ Did and William NC.

To prepare for coming to the Garorock festival, it is necessary to know the opening hours of the festival, as well as those of the campsite:
Thursday, June 30
- Camping: 9 a.m. – 1 hour
- Concert area: 5 p.m. – 3 a.m.
Friday July 1
- Camping: 10 a.m. – 3 a.m.
- Concert area: 5:30 p.m. – 4 a.m.
Saturday 02 July
- Campsite: 11 a.m. – 3 a.m.
- Concert area: 5 p.m. – 4:15 a.m.
Sunday July 03
- Campsite: 1 p.m. – 2 a.m.
- Concert area: 4:30 p.m. – 2 a.m.
For this new edition and after two cancellations for health reasons, the organizers of the Garorock festival have announced the return of the Marmande event on Thursday June 30, Friday July 1, Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3, 2022.
The Garorock festival ticket office is accessible on the event website. There are places left! On the price side, count from 220 euros for the 4-day Pass to 70 euros for the 1-day Pass.
The festival organizers have set up a cashless payment: the principle is simple, it’s a bracelet, to be recharged, which serves as your wallet. No other means of payment is accepted on the site. It is possible to recharge your connected bracelet this wayby creating an account and crediting it.
Born in 1997, Garorock, a play on words between Garonne and Rock, first took place in former Marmandais slaughterhouses and its programming was very punk-oriented. Since 2012, the festival has moved to the Plaine de la Filhole, a much less industrial space of 40 hectares made of earth and grass. Its programming has now expanded from rock to electro, via pop and rap. Renowned artists who have graced the Garorock stage include Shaka Ponk, Bloc Party, The Offspring, Public Enemy, Babyshambles, Birdy Nam Nam, Iggy Pop, Cypress Hill or Die Antwoord.

The Garorock festival takes place in the Plaine de la Filhole, a green haven five minutes from the city center of Marmande, a commune in Lot-et-Garonne in southwestern France.
- Access by train : Marmande train station is a 10-minute walk from the festival entrance.
- Access by car : By the A62, three exits are possible: Exit n°3, La Réole / Exit n°5, Marmande / Exit n°6, Aiguillon. From the A10. Do not hesitate to take the alternate routes via Libourne and follow Toulouse.
