[Mis à jour le 29 juin 2022 à 23h46] The winner of the 2022 edition of the “Favorite Village of the French” is Bergheim in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region. The brightly colored winegrowing city, its 2-kilometre ramparts around the village, its narrow winding streets, its pretty half-timbered houses and its geraniums on the balcony seduced viewers. The lucky winner was announced this Wednesday, June 29, 2022 by Stéphane Bern from Place du Beffroi in the village that won the show in 2021, Sancerre, located in the Cher department.
Which village won the title of “Favorite Village of the French 2022”?
After its Upper Rhine cousins of Eguisheim (2013) and Kaysersberg (2017) then Lower Rhine of Hunspach (2020), it is the village of 2070 inhabitants, Bergheim, which was crowned this Wednesday, June 29. Among the 14 in competition, it is therefore once again the Alsatian charm that won. It was viewers and Internet users who voted for their favorite village among the 14 in the running, by telephone at 3245 or on the website of France Televisions. The village with the most votes, Bergheim, won the title of “Favorite French Village 2022”.
