But concrete information about the official action is rare. A new short promo video now gives one crucial hintthat not everything will be as it seems.

What Amazon’s Lord of the Rings Series Says in New Video (Disguised)

The 15-second TV spot for Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series doesn’t add any new images to the first teaser trailer. We see again the handout of the new hobbits, the combative Elf Arondir, Galadriel on horseback, Elf King Gil-galad and a port city, presumably in Númenor, which the trailer analysis brought us closer to. In the simple sentence one slumbers hidden message: If nothing or nobody is born evil, then in Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series we can expect the An (unexpected) character turns evil. Lord of the Rings Series: Does Halbrand Have a Dark 2nd Identity?

  • That Island kingdom of Númenor plays a central role in Amazon’s The Rings of Power. However, when the people around Ar-Pharazôn there became greedy for power (aka evil?) and turned against the elves, a devastating catastrophe ensued.
  • With Tolkien is Sauron, which could become the basis of the entire Lord of the Rings story arc for all 5 seasons, a servant of evil (namely Morgoth/Melkor) from the start. Could the series want to gain new (i.e. initially good) facets from him as the beautiful shapeshifter Annatar?
