The disease, which is already raging in several European cities, could lead to severe consequences for pig farming, forestry, hunting and outdoor life if it begins to spread here. The greatest risk for Sweden to get the infection is through human activity, among other things by introducing untreated meat products such as cold-smoked ham and sausages from infected animals.
