In less than six months, three young men have been shot dead in Kalmar. The murders are linked to an ongoing conflict over drug sales. Concerns are now growing that the formerly quiet city will be hit by more shootings – when police go on holiday and tourists roll up drug sales.
– I am unfortunately convinced if we have new murders to expect this summer, says the municipality’s head of security Håkan Roupé.
