US President Joe Biden signed the gun control law, which was agreed by the Democratic Party and the Republican Party and passed by the US House of Representatives. The law, which restricts the purchase of weapons against gun violence in the country and allows the inspection of illegal weapons, came into force after it was submitted to Biden’s approval.
Biden, who signed the law, which was submitted for approval at the White House, said that “lives will be saved” with the adoption of the gun control law.
The gun regulation law, which was agreed on by the Republicans and Democrats in the Senate and approved in the Senate General Assembly yesterday, was passed with 234 “yes” votes to 193 “no” votes in the House of Representatives.
With this law, the US Congress made the first regulation on gun control in the last 30 years.
Gun control regulation has been on the agenda again after nationwide protests last month, with a racist attack in Buffalo and a shooting attack at a school in Texas.
