Lost Ark shows the next class in Korea

In Korea the LOA ON took place at night. This is an event related to Lost Ark that gives a glimpse into the future. A highlight was the new Aeromancer class, which is scheduled to appear in Korea in 2022.

What class is this? The Aeromancer belongs to the base class “Specialist”. This was introduced in Korea with the Klasser Painter in January 2022. She is only playable with a female character and uses a giant umbrella as her weapon.

Your attacks control the weather. She can generate rain, tornadoes, sunbeams and wind to control opponents or to help her own group. That’s their role in general. All specialists are meant to be classes that take on some kind of support role in their group.

Exact details about the abilities are not yet available. The Korean release is scheduled for July 6th.

Lots of praise for the animations, but criticism for the childlike looks

How is the new class doing? The Aeromancer gets a lot of positive feedback on reddit. Above all, the detailed animations used in the weather magic are praised:

  • Suhtiva writes, “Both the Painter and the Aeromancer are so beautiful. Respect to the design team.”
  • SakanaAtlas is absolutely thrilled: “Holy shit, she really looks amazing.”

    • However, there are also critical voices. NobleN6 calls the Aeromancers “Loli Class”, i.e. a class that is deliberately trimmed to look childish. There was similar criticism in the Painter class. Nevertheless, this made for records in the number of players in Korea.

    Some also don’t like the pure “mage feeling”. They would have preferred a mix of mage and assassin. The majority, however, celebrate the new class.

    What else was presented at LOA ON? In reddit, users have summarized the most important new information about the event:

  • The tripod system is being revised and should have a collecting effect like the engravings.
  • A major class balance patch is planned.
  • The Training Room will be revamped to allow you to try out different gems, tripods, card sets, and more.
  • The world map should be revised.
  • New Guardian and Legion raids have been announced.
  • New content is planned for your own island.
