On the occasion of the 23rd edition of the Gnaoua and World Music Festival, the Urban Legends team relocated to Marrakech to interview Maalem Abdeslam Alikane (Gnaoua Master and artistic director of the Festival), Karim Ziad (musician and programmer) as well as Psychoqueen, Morocco’s most prominent female urban artist. Like the Festival’s program, which is fond of musical fusions, Urban Legends has mixed genres in order to build bridges between modernity and tradition.
