Corona infection is expected to increase in connection with the midsummer holiday in Gävleborg County, says Shah Jalal, infection control doctor in the Gävleborg Region. At present, however, there is no confirmed case for the new Omikron variants BA.4 or BA.5 in the county.
– I suspect that there will be a change, it can go up in the spread of infection, says Shah Jalal.
According to the Public Health Agency’s scenarios for the coming three-month period, it is also likely that the spread of the coronavirus will increase towards the end of the summer.
