Released on April 1, 2021, Outsiders had a complicated launch, due to some instability, but also quite a few bugs at launch. If the developers of People Can Fly have made the necessary corrections for a year, the title has not had the expected success. So of course, we learned that 3.5 million players had tried the game the first month of operation, but these were attendance figures and not actual sales. Anyway, Square Enix has decided to relaunch the machine and offers throughout this week to make the game totally free on Steam. From Monday June 20 to Thursday June 23, it is therefore possible to enjoy the full game on PC without any limits, including the possibility of playing crossplay. It is also specified that all of the progress obtained during this free access will obviously be transferred if the players decide to buy the game afterwards.
