STRANGER THINGS 4. Volume 2 of Stranger Things is unveiled in an explosive new trailer, ten days before its release on Netflix. What we learn about the season 4 finale.

Netflix has uploaded a new trailer for season 4 part 2, which will go live on the streaming platform on July 1. New images that promise an end as moving as epic, and which also allow to develop new theories on the last two episodes.
In these new images of Stranger Things 4, we can discover the police invading the laboratory in which Doctor Brenner and Eleven are. Episode 8 is indeed titled “Dad”, and we can imagine the character of Matthew Modine sacrificing himself to save the young girl. He also carries her in his arms during a sequence. In these new images, we can also see Jason and Lucas fighting, Eleven and Max back in the Vecna reality, Eddie playing guitar on the Creel mansion in the upside down world, Hopper and Murray facing off against the Russian Demogorgon or Nancy immersed in the memories of this season’s monster.
A death in season 4 of Stranger Things?
While waiting for the release of Stranger things 4, fans are developing theories on social networks, and not all of them are very reassuring: many are wondering about the fates of Eddie, Steve or Nancy. According to fans of the series, one of these three characters could die in Part 2, sacrificing themselves in the Upside Down to save their friends and take down Vecna. In the trailer for season 4 part 2, we can notably hear Robin let go of a “I have a bad feeling, we may not get out of it this time.” A premonitory quote? For the moment, these are only theories, but they do not seem totally improbable.
Speaking to Variety, the Duffer brothers revealed that “there will be plenty to be concerned about the characters.” Fans are particularly worried about the fate of Steve or Nancy, who are still stuck in the Upside Down. But the creators of Stranger Things refuse to say too much. “Everyone is in danger. There’s this ominous atmosphere in the air. Things, this time, might not go well. In the trailer for the last two episodes of Stranger Things 4, we discover that Nancy has freed herself from the grip of the big villain of the season but is still in the upside down world, accompanied by Steve and Robin. Hopper, Joyce and Murray seem, for their part, to discover new Russian experiences, while Eleven will most certainly face Vecna in this last game.
What theories are emerging about the end of season 4 of Stranger Things? We can expect Eleven, Mike, Jonathan and Will to finally travel to Hawkins to reunite with the rest of the gang. Steve, Eddie, Robin and Nancy will probably go to the upside-down Creel mansion to destroy Vecna. Many fans are worried that one of the show’s main characters might die in this fourth finale. We summarize the main theories on part 2 of Stranger Things 4.
- Is Steve Harrington’s death possible? Steve Harrington’s injury, bitten by demonic bats from the Upside Down, is little reassuring. It would also seem that the plot around this fan-favorite character is spinning in circles, with the latter living a blowback for his ex, Nancy, with whom he was with in season 1. We can also imagine Dustin’s friend sacrifice to save the young woman.
- Will Eddie survive? Others believe that Eddie, a new character adored by spectators, could bow out in the last two episodes of the season. We could also see in a trailer that he played guitar in the upside down world, probably to wake up a character from Vecna’s trance, or to destroy the villain of this season… If the image of Eddie in full guitar solo in the upside down world is exciting, it may put him in a bad position against the monsters of the season.
- Nancy in danger? The young journalist also seems in bad shape in season 4 part 2 of Stranger Things. Remember that in the seventh episode, Mike’s sister is in a trance, under the influence of Vecna in the upside down world. We could see in the trailer that she survived the monster but that she did not leave the upside down world. What is certain is that Nancy is a target of Vecna, and as such particularly in danger in the rest of the series.
- When will the Stranger Things character reunion take place?What is certain is that the protagonists of Stranger Things still seem separated in part 2 of season 4. It is difficult to imagine a reunion between the different groups before the final episode.
- Will Byers coming out? Can he die? Among other theories emerging on social networks, some imagine a death of Will Byers. The son of Joyce and brother of Jonathan is indeed very little highlighted this season, and his interpreter, Noah Schnapp, has decided to pursue university studies which may not be compatible with a filming schedule as intense as that of Stranger Things. There is no doubt that the revelation of his drawing, teased from the second episode, will be a strong emotional moment in this case. Especially since some fans are convinced that the character is gay and in love with his friend Mike, which could be revealed in part 2 of season 4.

The first part of season 4 of Stranger Things was released on May 27, 2022 on Netflix. It is made up of seven episodes. The second part is posted on the platform of streaming July 1, 2022. The announcement of the release date for season 4 of Stranger Things was accompanied by the officialization of season 5. But, bad news for fans of the SF series, Netflix has confirmed that it will be the last : “As you will soon discover, the grand finale is approaching. Season 4 will be the penultimate and season 5, the last” confirmed the creators, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, in a letter shared on social networks from Netflix. The release date for Season 5 has not yet been made official. They also announced that a time jump will be made between seasons 4 and 5, in order to stick more with the age of the actors, who are now over 18 years old. On the other hand, if season 5 of Stranger Things will be the last, creators Matt and Ross Duffer had confirmed to the American media that they had ideas for a possible spin-off. The project must still be submitted for validation to Netflix.
