Of the Blockbusters on Sunday was a fixture in the weekly TV program for years. At the end of May, however, we received the news that the German private broadcaster will no longer use Marvel and Co. Instead, ProSieben is repositioning itself with reality formats. Four of them have now been unveiled.
As reported by DWDL, ProSieben gave a first glimpse of this at the Screenforce Days 2022 obsolete Sunday evening program. Instead of action and adventure from Hollywood, there are local in-house productions with which you “Celebrities to places of longing” can accompany, as broadcaster Daniel Rosemann explains.

Country Challenge: Various celebrities travel to different countries and face different challenges. Whether these succeed will be shown in four live broadcasts. After that, the audience can decide which of the celebrities has mastered their task best.
Mission: Job Unknown: Here, too, celebrities go to other countries, but this time not alone, but in teams of two. These teams have to assert themselves in jobs that are foreign to them. Sven Hannawald and Mario Basler are trying out lifeguards in Mexico, for example, while Viviane Geppert and Thomas Hayo end up as bodyguards in the USA.
Local Hero: The next trip to another country is announced with this show, in which two celebrities are introduced to the traditions and customs of other cultures. However, we are not dealing with a comfortable travel documentary: In order to make the whole thing more exciting, there is also a competitive element here in the form of various challenges.
World Most Dangerous Roads: In this format, a total of 16 celebrities get behind the wheel in pairs and explore a country. Fortunately, we don’t have to reckon with boring motorway journeys. ProSieben promises the most dangerous routes that can be found in each country. A bit of action and adventure remains on Sunday evening.In addition, ProSieben confirms that existing shows like Germany’s Next Topmodel, The Masked Singer, Das Duell um die Welt and Joko & Klaas vs. ProSieben will return with new editions. Anyone looking for feature films, on the other hand, will have to stop by Sat.1 more often.
