Peter Forsberg was in his best moments completely unstoppable. He was a super-talent in the Elite Series in the early 90’s, and it was not a question of whether he would succeed in the NHL once he took the step over – but how superior he would actually be.
Bad luck with injuries
And Peter Forsberg went down in history as one of Colorado’s greatest. He has been involved in winning both of the club’s Stanley Cup titles. But it was not just how many points Peter Forsberg scored – it was also the way he did it.
Foppa was a beast on the ice that could run through, and over, just about anything. Forsberg still has one of the most impressive points in NHL history, and had it not been for all the injuries, one can only speculate about how incredibly good he would have been. But Foppa could not get away from the injuries. But once he was whole, he was a joy to watch, and that was really when he showed what an incredible player he was.

Now, in the middle of the Stanley Cup final between the Colorado Avalanche and the Tampa Bay Lightning, Forsberg has once again received attention. A post has received a lot of spread and attention on the forum Reddit. It is about Peter Forsberg missing the entire basic series of the 2001/2022 season. But once he was back, he won the entire playoffs scoring.
But not only that. He also did so despite Colorado not even going to the Stanley Cup final, and he thus played fewer games than nearest rivals. In total, it was an insane 27 points in 20 matches. The supporters have reacted strongly to the figures, and the tributes just hail in.
“It’s crazy how he managed those numbers considering how much he was away,” writes one user.
