ENAC, new Board of Directors takes office: three out of four directors are women

ENAC twinning with Lebanon for harmonization of air transport

(Finance) – Female prevalence in the new Board of Directors of the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) which took office today, in the presence of the Minister of Sustainable Infrastructures and Mobility, Enrico Giovannini. The Directors who will assist the ENAC President Pierluigi Di Palma and the General Manager Alessio Quaranta in the leadership of the Body are: Giulia De Martino, Maria Teresa Di Matteo (former member of the previous Council), Laura Pierallini, Antonio Giuseppe Lupoli.

The Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility Enrico Giovannini in expressing good wishes to the Board of Directors, he stated: “ENAC is a central body for MIMS policies aimed at relaunching air transport, a sector that is recovering after being severely hit by the pandemic and the crisis resulting from the conflict in Ukraine. Mims and ENAC are preparing the new National Airport Plan which, with a view to more sustainable and intermodal mobility, will allow our country to make a qualitative leap also in terms of competitiveness. The figures who renew the Board of ENAC they face major challenges affecting the sector, including the use of new technologies, including suborbital and space technologies. LThe presence of three high-profile professionals assumes particular importance, in line with Mims’ strategies and policies “.

The Council – clarifies the note – remains in office for five years and the appointment of its members is renewable for one time only. It exercises the competences established by the Statute of the Entity. The Delegate Magistrate of the Court of Auditors remains in office, Claudio Guerrini and the Board of Auditors composed of Renato Tucci (President), dto Francesca Russo and Gian Marco Fugazza.
