Producer prices in Germany rose by 1.6 percent in May compared to April, according to federal German statistics. It was something more than expected. Analysts had calculated an average of 1.5 percent, according to a compilation made by Bloomberg.
At an annual rate, this means price increases for German producers of 33.6 per cent in May, up from 33.5 per cent in April.
