Marvel fans have had to make up their minds in recent years saying goodbye to one MCU icon after another. After Iron Man and Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth could now resign as Odinsson in Thor 4: Love and Thunder. He reveals that in an interview.
Chris Hemsworth hints at MCU farewell in Thor 4
Speaking to Wired, he said:
My most recent Marvel film was Thor 4, and it could be my last I do not know. It was a wild, fun and wacky experience like all Taika Waititi films. I’ve been playing this character for ten, eleven years now, and each time it’s been new and exciting, and this shoot was no exception.
His words will come as a shock to many MCU fans, nonetheless Hemsworth’s Thor is one of the most popular MCU veterans. Natalie Portman’s casting as story follow-up Mighty Thor heralded a change of times. However, no one has spoken of the possible farewell as straightforwardly as the actor himself.
When is Chris Hemsworth’s final Marvel movie coming out?
Fans will soon find out if and how Thor is leaving. Thor 4 is coming July 6, 2022 to the cinemas. Until then, the Hemsworth community will have to keep their fingers crossed.
