“Kali is an Indian goddess considered as the feminine force, the force of nature and beauty. It is a tribute to Kali through the “om”, the first syllable of the universe.
Nestor Caffa graduated in management and finance, but his passion for medicinal plants, which comes from his childhood in Guadeloupe, took over. In 2005, he founded Kaliom, a brand of certified organic and vegan cosmetics. Trained in plant biology and aromatherapy, but also introduced very early by his mother to the world of Caribbean medicinal plants, Nestor Caffa is fascinated by the benefits that nature can offer. In India, it benefits from organic plantations with local farmers, to ensure the quality of the medicinal plants at the base of its formulations.
Formulations respectful of the skin and nature
He finds vegetation there, which reminds him of that of his childhood.
“Eighty or qNinety percent of the plants we find in India also exist in the Caribbean. At home, we have a number of medicinal practices which are identical to those of Ayurveda. I discovered cures which our mother exempted us from before the start of the school year in order to be able to purify ourselves a little after the excesses of the holidays, in India, so there are this kind of practices, which I did not know of in France. All concoctions, massages, for children, there are in the Caribbean, this practice of massage as in Ayurveda. It took me back to my childhood. Then I worked with Indian laboratories, the University of Cosmetology in Mumbai, several research laboratories in medicinal plants, to carry out specific research and select plants for the beauty and well-being of the skin. »
