New nerfs will significantly simplify the current WoW raid. Especially the nasty jailer, but also Anduin Wrynn both lose power.

A few months have passed since the current raid “Mausoleum of the First” was released in World of Warcraft. But although the difficulty has gradually decreased with additional equipment, Blizzard is again making some changes to drastically reduce the difficulty. Above all, bosses like Anduin Wrynn or the jailer get significant weakening – some even not only on mythical difficulty.

We tell you what will change with the maintenance on June 22nd.

  • Lihuvim
  • Lihuvim’s health has been reduced by 15% on Mythic difficulty.
  • Resonance Cascade deals 90% less damage on Mythic difficulty.
  • Increased the cooldown used to spawn Protector Auto Scouting Automa on Mythic difficulty.
  • Halondrus
  • Aftermath damage reduced by 75% on Mythic difficulty.
  • Planet Cracker Beam’s damage has been reduced by 65% on Mythic difficulty and is now cast less frequently.
  • Anduin Wrynn
  • Hopelessness and Excitement duration increased to 16 seconds on all difficulties (from 12 seconds).
  • Blasphemy will no longer trigger when coming into contact with an untagged player on Mythic difficulty. The tooltip will only be adjusted in an upcoming patch.
  • March of the Damned deals 75% less damage on all difficulties.
  • Soul Blast’s damage and travel speed has been reduced by 30% on all difficulties.
  • Banish Soul cast time increased to 16 seconds (was 12 seconds) on Mythic difficulty.
  • Necrotic Blast cast time increased by 30% on Mythic difficulty.
  • Rygelon
  • Blackout now only targets 3 players on Mythic difficulty (down from 4).
  • Unstable Matter health reduced by 25% on Mythic difficulty.
  • The Jailer
  • Torment’s damage has been reduced by 30% on Mythic difficulty.
  • Unholy Eruption damage reduced by 30% on Mythic difficulty.
  • Rune of Compulsion absorb effect reduced by 30% on Mythic difficulty.
  • Chainbreaker now targets the closest 3 allies on Mythic difficulty (was the closest 4).
  • Incarnation of Agony has 20% less Health on Mythic difficulty.
  • Redirected Life Shield is now 75% less effective on Mythic difficulty.
  • Chains of Agony will no longer reposition linked targets if the primary target runs out of range on Mythic difficulty.
  • Why is Blizzard doing this? It’s common for Blizzard to gradually reduce the difficulty of a raid as it ages. Now that the pro guilds have broken their teeth on the raid, Blizzard is making even the toughest fights a little easier, giving other guilds a chance to take on some of the bosses as well.

Although the nerfs sound huge on paper, one should not forget that the fights on mythic difficulty are still extremely demanding and even with the nerfs they are anything but “free loot” – but every active WoW player probably knows that himself .

What do you think of the adjustments? Useful nerfs? Or would you have liked to see the bosses at their old strength?

The nerfs should also be of particular interest to the new cross-faction groups, who can now go into battle together against the jailer.
