The child was taken to hospital by ambulance and according to Region Kronoberg, the boy’s condition was stable on Friday night, something that will continue to apply on Saturday, according to Kim Hild.
He was first cared for in Växjö but was later transported on Friday to the university hospital in Lund for further care.
The police can not yet answer how it came about that the boy ended up in that condition.
– An investigation is underway, of course, where one should approach how this has come to happen, says Kim Hild.
One of the boy’s parents is suspected of causing grievous bodily harm. The person is not detained.
