The party where it all went wrong was in May 2020 in a flat on the Vulcanusdreef in Utrecht. Jacky arrived at the party just before midnight, according to witnesses, where four others were. During the evening several people, including Jacky, are said to have used laughing gas and alcohol. At around 1 a.m., one of the visitors sent a message to a friend of Jacky’s that he had to come and pick up the man because he was annoying.
