(Finance) – Negative signals come from US housing market in May 2022. According to the US Department of Commerce i new construction sites started they recorded a decline of 14.4%, reaching 1,549 million units, after the 5.5% increase recorded in April (revised from -0.2%). Analysts’ expectations had predicted a decrease in the number of construction sites to 1.701 million.
THE building permits issued by the authorities competent authorities recorded a decrease of 7% in the same period to 1.695 million units, after the -3% recorded the previous month. Analysts’ expectations were for a decrease in permits to 1.785 million.
