In the Riksdag’s question time with the Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson stated that it was completely unique that the government on Wednesday demanded the rejection of its own budget bill.
– It was a telling illustration of the government’s powerlessness and the decline of government power. It is not sustainable for the government to cling to power when it does not get its economic policy through, he says.
He then asked a question to Magdalena Andersson:
Incomprehensible and messy
– Can the two of us agree that no government should take office without having secured support for its economic policy?
Magdalena Andersson chose to focus on what has happened in recent days.
– I think that many in the Swedish people wonder what is happening in the Riksdag right now and think it is incomprehensible and messy. All that can be said is that it has been an extremely complicated parliamentary situation since the election. My ambition is to form a government that can also get its economic policy through, she says.
Continue to raise pensions
She stated that Ulf Kristersson had failed to form a government.
Left-wing leader Nooshi Dadgostar asked the Prime Minister if she was prepared to continue raising pensions.
– Are you prepared to increase your pensions by SEK 2,000 per month after the election? she asked.
– Do pensions need to be increased? Answer yes, says Magdalena Andersson.
However, she did not give any information about the amount. The Social Democrats want above all to increase payments to the pension system, she emphasized.
