‘When you have children so …’

André Burakovsky whined about lack of sleep.
Then Gabriel Landeskog got everyone tanning – with a spotless dad joke.

The Stanley Cup final has begun and there is talk that the Swedes made a big impression immediately. Gabriel Landeskog has been an army commander and leader throughout the playoffs, and did not wait very long to make an impression in the first final.

The Swedes are heroes

Landeskog started the scoring in the match when Colorado took the lead, and later in the match he also had an assist. Colorado scored three goals in regular time, and so did the Tampa Bay Lightning. The match thus went to extra time, where a new Swede stepped forward.

André Burakovsky had only scored one goal in the entire playoffs, but stepped forward when it mattered most with a crucial goal. The Colorado Avalanche won the first game, and afterwards there were happy faces among the Colorado players. Burakovsky and Landeskog met the media afterwards, and then it became a big laugh party.

The clean joke

Afterwards, Burakovsky said that he was really nervous before.

– I have been through this and know what I can expect from everything that happens. But I was nervous and had trouble sleeping. I woke up at six o’clock and could hardly wait to play a match, says Burakovsky afterwards.

Then Gabriel Landeskog responded with lightning speed – and got every NHL supporter to tan.

– Just wait until you have children… Then you will be up at six o’clock every day, he says, to a big laugh by the entire press corps.
