For nine years, a boy was subjected to hundreds of rapes and sexual assaults. A 55-year-old man is now sentenced to ten years in prison, writes Göteborgs-Posten.
The abuse started when the man moved into the then five-year-old boy’s family in Gothenburg. The man told the boy that what happened was their “secret”. Sometimes the man was the babysitter for the boy.
The last rape took place when the boy was 14 years old. Then a few more years passed, before he dared to tell his family about what he had been exposed to.
The man is convicted of 55 aggravated rapes and 50 aggravated sexual assaults. He denies everything, except for one sexual act. A camera was found in the man’s home, with a video showing one of the assaults.
The 55-year-old must pay almost SEK 700,000 in damages to the boy, according to the district court’s ruling.
He is also convicted of possession of a number of gross child pornography, where the content is largely described as particularly ruthless.
