Nature also does its work itself. You can see young trees sprouting from the ground at various places in the forest. Some fallen trees are also blooming again. “As people, we tend to steer nature, of course we partly do that, but I also think it’s important to let nature do its work itself. Nature is very resilient. There is already plenty of green on the storm plain. A number of trees that have fallen, but still have their roots in the ground, are now blooming again. There was still a lot of power in that. That is very special to see as a forester. It will be another 100 years before the forest is somewhat like what it once was.”
