Both the International Criminal Court in The Hague and several European countries have sent investigators to Ukraine. Together with human rights organizations, documentation work is carried out in villages to collect evidence.
Belkis Wille, a lawyer at Human Rights Watch, says that the investigative work in Ukraine is unique.
– The decisive factor will be the quality of these prosecutions, she says.
