Manuel Bompard has already tried his luck in the 2017 legislative elections, but it was a completely different territory that saw him present himself: the 9th constituency of Haute-Garonne. Chosen by Jean-Luc Mélenchon himself to take over as deputy for Bouches-du-Rhône, Manuel Bompard should easily recover the votes of all the voters of La France insoumise. Without a dissident candidacy from the Socialist Party, the Communist Party and Europe-Ecologie-Les Verts, rallied behind his investiture, a victory and a seat in the Assembly seem accessible. In 2017, Jean-Luc Mélenchon was easily elected from this territory which includes part of the hypercentre, the districts of La Plaine and Cour Julien. Who is Manuel Bompard, legislative candidate in Marseille?
Marseille is not the land of origin of Manuel Bompard, any more than the Haute-Garonne, department in which he presented himself for the legislative elections in 2017. The rebellious is from the Loire but he is ready to go where it is necessary to defend the colors of La France insoumise, a party he joined from its creation in 2009 when it was still called the Left Party. The politician does not lack commitment, however, in his university career, nothing reflects this desire to do politics. Manuel Bompard is a graduate of Ensimag, an engineering school in Grenoble, and holds a doctorate in applied mathematics from the University of Nice Sophie Antipolis. After his studies, he joined the party leadership in the role of general secretary for eight years, until 2018.
