(Finance) – First signs of slowing inflation in Brazil. As reported by theBrazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (Ibge)the National Consumer Price Index (IPCA) fell to 0.5% in May, after rising 1.06% in April.
This is the lowest since April last year, when it stood at 0.3%.
On an annual basis, the IPCA has accumulated an increase of 11.73%, lower than the 12.13% recorded in the previous 12 months.
The 7.95% drop in the cost of electricity.
