Mychajlo Podoljak, adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj, tells the BBC that between 100 and 200 Ukrainian soldiers are killed every day. In the past, Ukrainian officials have reported up to 100 soldiers killed and hundreds injured every day.
“The Russian forces have used virtually everything non-nuclear against the front and that includes heavy artillery, several missile launch systems and aircraft,” Podoljak said.
He reiterated Ukraine’s call for more weapons from the West, adding that it was not ready to resume any peace talks until Russia returned territory it had seized since the February 24 invasion.
