The situation is not as good as we would have

According to the coach of the quick kite, the cause of the pain condition that afflicts Kortte’s leg is being investigated. Korte may not focus on competing until August.

One of Finland’s leading fences Annimari Korte may have to miss important races due to leg pain. Korte finished the finals of the quick fencing in the Athletics GP in Espoo on Wednesday.

After the race, Korte wasn’t sure if he would take part in Paavo Nurmi’s competition in Turku next Tuesday. Aituri wondered if he might be focusing on training and not investing fully in the race until August.

The card’s statement raised the question of whether he had already given up on the World Championships in Athletics in July. In August, the program includes the European Championships.

Coach supervising the training of the card in Finland Mikael Ylöstalo says it’s too early to make a decision on the Oregon World Cup.

– After the race, of course, the athlete will not be able to make final decisions. One has to look at the situation with regard to the injury. Is there an injury, or what is causing the pain condition. Too early to say jute or share. Of course, the situation is not as good as we would have liked, Ylöstalo said.

The World Championships in Athletics start on July 15th.

The cause of the leg pain is unknown

According to Ylöstalo, the pain condition in the other leg interferes with Kortte’s running technique.

– That’s why the run doesn’t move forward as it should. I can’t say more about it at the moment, Ylöstalo commented on Thursday.

Korte was equally puzzled in Wednesday’s interview.

– The other foot is cheating underneath for some reason. I don’t know why. It’s been a couple of months. However, there have been some really good workouts, so I expected to run hard. Right from the start, I noticed that none was working. I don’t know what’s in it, Korte said on his leg on Wednesday.

According to Ylöstalo, the situation is currently being investigated. The doctor who performed the surgery on the card will be contacted to find out if the current ailment is related to last year’s surgery. The hind legs of the card were operated on in August last year.

– I can’t say more about this at the moment. That’s the kind of top sport, with its arts for the little ones … it’s the kind of string dancing.

The Paavo Nurmi Games will be held on June 14 in Turku. The World Championships in Athletics will be held from the 15th to the 24th. July in the United States. The European Championships in Germany are due a month later.
