According to the police, the woman’s drone flight was discovered early on Wednesday night. The police were able to find and identify her outside the festival area by using their helicopter and their own drones. She was arrested and questioned immediately after the incident. The woman admits that she has flown drones over the area, but says that she did not know that there is a flight ban over the festival. Her violation could result in a fine, police said on Wednesday night.
According to the festival management and the police, there is a flight ban over the area for safety to be secured for Sweden Rock Festival and to enable the police to monitor the festival “without interference from other aircraft”. The ban applies from ten o’clock on June 8 to midnight on June 12.
