Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Just over a week has passed since Chelsea announced that Todd Boehly’s US-based consortium is the club’s new owner.

The American businessman, who took over from the Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich, paid the equivalent of SEK 30 billion to take over the top club, where the women’s team won the league this spring for the third year in a row.

Chelsea’s first signing under Boehly will be 27-year-old Perisset, who joins from Bordeaux.

The contract extends until the summer of 2025 and possibly the French defender, with 34 internationals in the bag, is Jonna Andersson’s replacement.

Andersson, now in Hammarby, left Chelsea after last season where it was four and a half years.

– Of course it was a special situation, there was a lot going on around, but for us it was still so good that we could continue to do what we were supposed to: train and play, Andersson told TT last week regarding the sanctions that was directed at Chelsea and Abramovich with the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

She also added:

– We focused on what we could influence and that was on the football field. Then I think there was a lot going on and was worried off the field, but now it’s incredibly nice to see that everything is resolved.
