Due to the construction, the park at the Wim Sonneveldlaan right next to the viaduct will be slightly expanded. To make room for the new cycle path, five parking spaces on Platolaan and eight on Wim Sonneveldlaan will soon disappear. The municipality of Utrecht does not expect that parking pressure will increase as a result. “There is no waiting list for parking permits in this district. Eliminating a small number of parking spaces does not affect the permit issuance,” according to the council.
