On Tuesday evening, Minister of Defense Peter Hultqvist (S) and his Finnish counterpart Antti Kaikkonen during a visit to Reykjavik signed a bilateral memorandum of understanding on host country support in order to further strengthen defense cooperation.
Sweden’s defense policy cooperation with Finland is already the most far-reaching with any country, but according to Hultqvist, the agreement will make it easier to continue to deepen the ability to cooperate between Swedish and Finnish naval, army and air forces in times of peace, crisis and war.
