In the Mexican state of Puebla, a chain traffic accident involving at least 20 vehicles occurred on the highway between the cities of Cordoba and Puebla. In the statement made by the Mexican National Guard, it was reported that many rescue and medical teams were sent to the region as a result of the accident, and according to the first determinations, 2 people lost their lives and 40 people were injured.
After the accident, the road was closed to two-way traffic. It is thought that the accident occurred as a result of the smoke caused by the fire in the area, which reduced visibility.
