Apple took advantage of its WWDC 2022 conference to present its new software products. From macOS Ventura to iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and watchOS 9, an avalanche of new features has enriched the brand’s products. But which devices will benefit from these improvements and when? We take stock.
WWDC 2022 delivered on its promise by showcasing the latest in software from Apple. In particular, we discovered iPad OS 16, which is increasingly transforming the iPad into a computer. The iPhones are not left out insofar as most of them will receive iOS 16, the new features of which we have summarized here. If you have a Mac or an Apple Watch, the Cupertino company has also thought of you with macOS Ventura and watch OS 9 which, without revolutionizing their formulas, bring some interesting changes. What about Macs that can run the new macOS Ventura? Again, 2017 marks a turning point in the supported devices:
We end this overview with iPadOS 16 which also puts a few models in the closet. Thus, the compatible models are:
Note, however, that the new Stage Manager feature that allows applications to be stacked on the left when you are working on a window in the center of the screen will only be available on iPads equipped with an M1 chip…
iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9 and macOS Ventura are available now in beta for developers. The public beta will arrive in early July and the final versions will roll out in the fall to all compatible devices.
