The recent shipment of more sophisticated weapons to Ukraine by the West is beginning to elicit a response from the Russian side. The Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrovhas warned that Moscow will push the front line further if military aid continues.
Lavrov has warned that “the greater the range of weapons that (Western countries) supply, the more we will move away from our territory the line from which the neo-Nazis can threaten the Russian Federation”.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Minister has stressed that The West ‘has no qualms’ about using ‘inappropriate’ methods to maintain pressure on Moscow, referring to the veto by Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro regarding the flight carrying Lavrov to Serbia.
USA has confirmed the delivery to kyiv of Himars multiple missile launcher systemswhile United Kingdom has done the same with M270 rocket launcher. According to Washington and London, Ukraine has promised not to use these weapons to attack Russian territory.
