However, how the drinking water is preserved is very important for health. The water and beverages in plastic bottles, which we encounter frequently in summer, are sold on the roadsides, left in the glove boxes of vehicles, come into contact with the sun at sales points or are stored in heat, threaten human health.

Saying that when plastic bottles and carboys are exposed to the sun and heat for a long time, the bisphenol-A (BPA) substance in their structure mixes with water, “This substance acts like an artificial hormone with estrogen-like effects. Female-type growth in the breasts, which we call gynecomastia in men, risk of premature birth in pregnant women, “It can lead to conditions such as developmental delay and infertility in babies. Inappropriately stored plastic bottles and carboys made of inappropriate materials increase all these risks,” he said.
INCREASES THE RISK OF DISEASES LIKE CANCER AND DIABETES
Pointing out that the bisphenol substance mixed with water increases the risk of some cancers, Kikaç said, “In addition, it increases the risk of heart diseases and diabetes. Pet bottles should not be used more than once. In repeated use, other diseases may occur due to exposure to BPA and the formation of bacteria and fungi.” .
