“Two lifeless male bodies aged 20-23 were found at five o’clock on Saturday morning in the luggage compartment of an Air Algérie plane parked at Algiers airport,” police said in a statement.
The police have not commented on where the plane came from or where it was going. An investigation has been initiated.
Local media reports that the two dead men were Algerians trying to get to Europe.
Earlier this year, in March, it was reported that a 16-year-old managed to get to France alive after hiding in the trunk of a plane flying from Constantine in northern Algeria.
