Traffic complaint leads to arrest

Community based policing units get boost in Chatham Kent

On Friday morning, Chatham-Kent police responded to a traffic complaint in Wallaceburg.

The vehicle was located on McNaughton Avenue and stopped. Through investigation, police learned a woman in the vehicle was reportedly wanted by the Sarnia Police Service.

The 37-year-old Wallaceburg woman was arrested on the warrant. Sarnia police attended and took over custody of the accused.

Stolen vehicle in Chatham

Early Friday morning, someone took a 2015 white Hyundai Tucson from a driveway on Lorne Avenue in Chatham.

Stop after disturbance

Police responded to a disturbance between a man and a woman at a residence in Chatham on Friday morning.

Police learned the woman was wanted for the charges of mischief under $5,000, assault and resisting arrest.

The 39-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and released with a court date.
