NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has met with Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin in the United States, and had a new telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“We talked about the need to address Turkey’s concerns and move forward with Finland’s and Sweden’s applications for NATO membership,” he wrote on Twitter.
Erdogan emphasized that Turkey’s objections were based on “legitimate and legitimate grounds”, according to the President’s Office.
