(Finance) – French industrial production continues to decline in April. The overall output of the second largest European economy showed a decrease of 0.1% on a monthly basis after the -0.4% of the previous month (figure revised from a preliminary of -0.5%).
The data, communicated by the National Statistics Office (INSEE), is also worse than expected of the analysts they had estimated 0.3% increase.
It also goes down there manufacturing productionwith the index reporting on a monthly basis a decrease of 0.4% after the previous -0.2%.
Over year the production of the whole industry has registered a growth of 0.6%. Positive variation (+ 1.7%) also for the manufacturing sector.
