In Water everywhere, living and writing in CubaLeonardo Padura, one of the greatest contemporary writers in the Spanish language, looks back on his career as a Cuban writer.
Through a collection of texts written over the course of fifteen years, Leonardo Padura tells us about his passage from journalism to the novel, thanks to a punitive transfer to the cultural section of an evening daily, a sanction for “ideological problems” which will prove to be a tremendous gift.
He also takes us behind the scenes of his novel writing, guides us in the historical and literary memory of Cuba and tells us about his passion for books of course, but also for cinema, for baseball, and for these great authors. who have built the memory and the identity of an island that he will never leave, quite simply because he needs it to write and to live.
Water everywhere, living and writing in Cuba is a collection of texts written by Leonardo Padura, it was published by Métailié editions in a translation by Elena Zayas.
At the end of the show, Amelie Beaucour will tell us about the fourth album by Sly Johnson, known in particular for having been a member of the Saïan Supa Crew, and who continued his solo career. His new album is called 55.4.
