The transformation of Paradise Hotel into “Paradise” took place after two women reported in the spring of 2021 that they had been subjected to sexual crimes in connection with the filming of the television program “Paradise hotel” in Mexico. The investigation into suspected sex crimes was closed this spring as it is not possible to prove crime.
The changes mean that participants no longer have to form couples of the opposite sex, there is no requirement to be single to apply for the program and the bedrooms have two single beds instead of a double bed.
The host of the new Paradise is Tone Sekeluis
In addition, there will be a new host: Tone Sekelius, who wrote history as the first trans person in the Melodifestivalen, where she competed with the song “My way”.
“It’s a new day in paradise – for real! With all the changes that the program has undergone, I feel confident to come in and take the viewers by the hand and lead them through the new ‘Paradise’. I look forward so much this, you just must not miss this “, says Tone Sekelius in a comment.
So will the new Paradise Hotel
But on Friday, Expressen was able to reveal some of the changes that will take place in the new “Paradise Hotel”.
First, the program changes its name to “Paradise”.
Other changes are:
All participants must be over 20 years old
Couples do not need to be formed by gender
There should be single beds in the rooms
A new filming location in Mexico
There is no longer a requirement to be single
– We have reviewed our casting process and that we will also have even stricter requirements for the tonality between the participants, says Kenneth Kristensen at NENT Group in a press release.
The program premieres this fall.
