The Swedish Transport Administration will receive funding of SEK 83 million for the rebuilding and the Railway Museum will itself spend around SEK 20 million, something Gefle Dagblad was the first to report.
The Railway Museum has been closed since 2017, after which the renovation has been delayed by, among other things, the government crisis after the last parliamentary election. Now the museum aims to reopen next autumn, 2023.
