(Finance) – Registrations for the “Driving Energy Award 2022 – Contemporary Photography”, The photo contest launched by Ternain order to promote the cultural development of the country and new talents in the sector.
An important date, today, which marks the official opening of registrations for the Prize, curated by Marco Delogu, on the website premidrivingenergy.terna.it. The competition is dedicated to all photographers, amateurs and professionals, which will be divided into two categories: Young (up to 30 years old) and Senior (from 31 years old). On the official website of the Award, the only channel through which it will be possible to register and participate, the complete regulation of the competition with the procedures for participation is already available: each candidate can register only one photographic work, composed, at his choice, of one or more photographs, of any kind and stylistic orientation, in black and white or in color.
The actress and director Jasmine Trinca she is the sixth member of the jury, together with Salvatore Settis, art historian and academic, Lorenza Bravetta, curator of the Photography, cinema and new media sector at La Triennale di Milano, Elisa Medde, editor, curator and writer of photography, Emanuele Trevi , writer and literary critic, Premio Strega 2021, e Maximilian PaolucciDirector of External Relations, Institutional Affairs and Sustainability of Terna.
The collaboration of these names with the Driving Energy Award confirm Terna’s objective of making an authoritative Jury available to the Award, built in the name of interdisciplinarity, and the company’s commitment to creating a project with a high cultural profile, capable of generating lasting value and becoming a point of turning point for photographers. In fact, the competition aims to be a broad and inclusive tool to testify that photography is a transversal language of art, capable of restoring an artistic vision of Terna’s mission, in its role as director and enabler of the energy transition.
For the Driving Energy Award, Terna has planned one countryside television on La7 with a 30 ”commercial, on air until 11 June in the areas of greatest audience in the morning, news and entertainment. Terna wants to promote the Award to the general public for a broad participation, in the sign of the values of openness and inclusiveness that characterize the Award.
Between works photographic finalists, selected by the six members of the jury, supported not only by the curator, but also by the Presidential Committee of the Award, composed of Valentina Bosetti and Stefano Donnarumma, respectively President and CEO of Terna, the 5 winners of the competition will be chosen: Senior, who will win a prize of 15,000 euros, Young, who will be awarded a prize of 5,000 euros, and three Special Mentions, each of which will be awarded a prize of 2,000 euros. The finalist photographic works and the winners will also be exhibited in November in an exhibition set up by Terna in Rome, at Palace of Expositions.
