An HVB home in Falkenberg had such serious shortcomings that the Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate (Ivo) decided at the end of April to close it with immediate effect.
After a couple of weeks, the company behind the home was declared bankrupt, but it is only now that all the young people who lived there have left home, writes Hallands Nyheter.
– There is a gradual liquidation of the housing together with the municipalities concerned, but now all have moved, says lawyer Anna Skoglund, who has handled the bankruptcy, to the newspaper.
Ivo believes that the accommodation had repeated shortcomings in terms of control of the staff. Furthermore, the economy must have been mismanaged. Prior to the bankruptcy, the company had been at a loss for several years.
